Overview

The Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) is under the direction of Mayor James Marino, Vice Mayor Lillie Junkins and Councilmember Jerry Riffle,  with the assistance of City Clerk Annette Wright. The program is open to any student in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades who attends a city school: Notre Dame, Liberty, RCB, Emmanuel Christian or is home-schooled and resides in the Clarksburg city limits. It is the mission of the Mayor’s Youth Council to work together to make Clarksburg a better place for everyone by recognizing the opinions, concerns and needs of youth. Throughout the year, the Youth Council will participate in community service projects, receive hands-on learning of the operations of the various City departments and have the opportunity to voice youth-related concerns.

Applications for the MYC are available and will be accepted annually. Download the Application here.  Applications may also be obtained from your respective city schools or from the Clarksburg City Clerk’s office on the second floor of the city municipal building. Completed applications may be returned to your school or sent directly to the City Clerk at 222 West Main Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
