Mayor's Youth Council
The Mayor’s Youth Council is under the direction of Mayor Catherine Goings with the assistance of City Clerk Annette Wright.

Municipal Building Commission
The Municipal Building Commission oversees various construction projects throughout the City such as the new City Hall, renovations to the Central Fire Department substation for the North View area and the new Aquatic Park.

Park Commissioners
The Board of Park Commissioners shall be continued for the purpose of establishing, improving, developing and operating a Municipal park system and is particularly charged with the responsibility of providing public parks, playgrounds, athletic field, swimming pools and other recreational facilities, and of providing an adequate recreational program for the inhabitants of the City. The Board of Park Commissioners shall be a public corporate body with perpetual existence and a corporate seal.

Parking Authority
The Parking Authority shall be composed of five members, who shall be appointed by Council, one of whom shall be appointed for three years, two members for two years and two members for one year.

Planning & Zoning Commission
This Commission reviews, accepts or rejects changes in zoning matters, new constructions and demolitions. In other matters, the Commission may give suggestions to City Council for their acceptance or rejection of an issue.

Police Civil Service Commission
The PCSC regulates and oversees the rules established by the Commission.

Sanitary Board
The Sanitary Board shall be composed of such members as provided by Section 23 of the Charter.

Traffic Commission
Actions taken by the Traffic Commission come before Council for approval.

Urban Renewal Authority
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is a commission of the City that buys and sells property for development purposes.

Water Board
The Clarksburg Water Board, a municipal corporation, was created by a special act of the legislature in 1909 and charged with the duty and responsibility of providing an ample supply of pure and wholesome water to retail and wholesale customers in Harrison County.

Zoning Appeals
Matters which come before this Board are petitions for major/minor home occupations, variances (to construct room additions, decks, car ports, etc.)
