Sixth Street Salon

Sixth Street Salon

When customers walk into Sixth Street Salon they are greeted with a contagious smile from salon owner, Netta Jones. Jones who has been doing hair for about 15 years has always had a passion for making people feel good, while changing their energy through doing their hair; which is the exact reason that drove her to her profession.

“I love making people happy and let them leave here feeling better about themselves”, said Jones. “The customers keep you going, and make it worthwhile coming to work every day”, she continued.

After acquiring Sixth Street Salon from its previous owner 2 years ago, Jones chose to carry on the name. She felt it was an appropriate name for the business and location that she’s always known to be a hair salon.

Since taking ownership of Sixth Street Salon, Jones provides hair services to men, women, and children. Those services range from cut, style, perm, color, relaxers, updos, some extensions, braids and more. Sixth Street Salon also provides facial waxing services to its customers. Jones stays up to date on current hair and color trends, and feels that visuals such as pictures are always good, that way both the customer and stylist are in agreement. Jones prides herself on her customer’s satisfaction, and anything the customer wants Jones will provide. Her end goal for each customer is for them to ultimately have a great experience in her salon.

A customer since Jones took ownership of the salon, Lorena Walker, expressed what her experience is like every time she visits the shop. “I always leave happy, because she is always happy, and she has such a good attitude and I’m always greeted with a smile. I always feel good when I leave the salon”.

Sixth Street Salon boasts a 5-Star rating on both Facebook and Google, which is a public example of the experience she provides to her customers.

Jones, who also lives in Clarksburg, loves having her business in the City. She has had the opportunity to move elsewhere, but have chosen to stay, because you cannot get the close home feel anywhere else that you get in Clarksburg. Jones is able to have relationships with her customers and intimacy Clarksburg brings.

For those who are interested in Sixth Street Salon’s services appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome between the hours of 8a.m. and 2p.m., and appointments are available until 6p.m. M-F.
