Clarksburg Facilities

Within the last three (3) weeks, our local High Schools have held their Homecoming parades in Adamston, Uptown Clarksburg, and the Veteran’s Memorial (VA) Park which led to Hite Field. Robert C. Byrd High School not only made use of Main Street and Pike Street, but also organized a pep rally at Jackson Square. Notre Dame gathered in the VA Park to assemble their floats before parading to Hite Field using Rt. 98 and S. Chestnut Street. Liberty’s parade began on W. Pike Street and ended at N. 27th Street. The City of Clarksburg is proud to partner with local schools when their events need to be taken off of school grounds. The City of Clarksburg also rents out their facilities and streets to various organizations or patrons for private events.

Jackson Square has multiuse functionality. While most assume Jackson Square is just a 120 spaced parking facility, it can be used as an event center, as well. Jackson Square’s dual level layout provides a natural stage for concerts or events that would hold live entertainment. The dual levels provide ample room for the needs of private or public events. The covered area is equipped with water and electric, and those who rent out Jackson Square have access to the facility’s prep kitchen and the restrooms located on-site. Jackson Square has been used for festivals, weddings, class reunions, community gatherings and so much more. For those interested in renting Jackson Square for their celebration, please visit the City of Clarksburg’s website and head to the community tab for all of your planning needs.

Clarksburg’s streets can be occupied for civic event use, only. The City of Clarksburg’s streets have been used to host parades and festivals. To apply for street closing, an application must be filled out and submitted to the City Manager’s office. Those applications can be found on the City’s website.

The newly remodeled Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center (RGPAC) is one of the city’s most recognizable structures. The RGPAC can be used for private gatherings, and their spaces can be occupied for pretty much any function. Fundraisers, presentations, receptions, social gatherings, classes, recitals and so much more can be held in the spaces of the RGPAC. Spaces that can be rented in the RGPAC include the performance hall, the ballroom and the educational center. The facility also provides a private caterer’s kitchen for use if needed. If you are interested in hosting an event at the RGPAC please contact Emily Moore, Sales and Marketing Manager of the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center, at 304-624-1500 to receive more information.
