The PCSC meets on an as-needed basis. Meetings are normally conducted at 12:00 Noon or at a time of day a quorum can be present.

The PCSC regulates and oversees the rules established by the Commission. The PCSC is responsible for testing for new applicants within the Police Department, the testing for promotions within the Police Department, hears grievances filed by Police Department personnel, if unresolved at appropriately-taken grievance procedure levels.
