Walter Williams of Steptoe & Johnson serves as legal counsel to this Commission.

There shall be no more than two-thirds of the members of the Board from the same political party and no member of the Commission shall hold any other office other than office of notary public or employment under the United States of America, the State, any county or political subdivision thereof, or any political party.

The Municipal Building Commission (MBC) meets on the third Friday of every month at 10:30 a.m.-subject to cancellation if meeting not needed.

MBC oversees various construction projects throughout the City such as the new City Hall, renovations to the Central Fire Department and the new substation for the North View area.
