The Community and Economic Development Department is designed to help assist people to begin or expand small businesses in the City of Clarksburg, and for promoting the City to prospective businesses to relocate or expand to Clarksburg and add to the city's employment base. The Department also develops and maintains programs that revitalize the community spirit and the community environment.
