Clarksburg Amphitheater

Since being brought to fruition in 2009, the Clarksburg Amphitheater has filled its seats with thousands, sold out shows, featured some of the nation’s biggest names, and been named “The Best Outdoor Concert Venue in West Virginia” by MSN.

The $1.4 million facility was made possible through a $700,000 grant provided by the West Virginia Division of Culture and History. The remaining $700,000 was matched by the City Parks of Clarksburg. Initially, ten (10) rows of permanent seating were installed. The funding for five (5) rows was provided by the City of Clarksburg while the remaining five (5) rows were funded by the City Parks of Clarksburg.

In 2014, the City Parks of Clarksburg received $123,000 worth of grant funding to make additional improvements to the Clarksburg Amphitheater. The Amphitheater received $100,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for Grandstands which allowed for the purchase and installation the Amphitheater’s current seating system. The current seating system at the Clarksburg Amphitheater provides seating for 1,900 patrons. The remaining $23,000 was provided through a second grant. The $23,000 funding allowed for a lighted-walkway to be constructed connecting the Amphitheater to the Splash Zone. The connecting walkway allowed for travel between the two areas to become a safer and easier process.

To date, the Amp has featured the likes of: Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Dan & Shay, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, LANCO, Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, and Mercy Me.

The 2019 summer line up at the Clarksburg Amphitheater is packed full of entertainment. Set to perform this summer at the Amp are: Morgan Wallen, Dylan Scott, The Ultimate Queen Celebration feat Marc Martel, and Toby Mac. Morgan Wallen’s has already sold out, but tickets are still available for all other concerts at:

In addition to the “Music in the Park”, the City of Clarksburg Parks will once again be hosting “Movies in the Park”. Movies featured in the 2019 summer line up are: Ralph Breaks the Internet, Hotel Transylvania 3, Aquaman, The Grinch “Christmas In July”, Dirty Dancing “Ladies Night”, and A Dog’s Way Home. All movies are free to the public and will start at dusk (approximately 8:45p.m.-9:00p.m.) To view dates of all free movies please like and follow City Parks of Clarksburg.
