An informational meeting was held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the City Manager’s Conference Room for those stakeholders who were not present during the initial meeting that discussed homelessness, the transient population and the drug problem affecting Clarksburg and surrounding communities. The initial meeting took place on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Centra. City Manager, Martin Howe, offered to meet with the absentee stakeholders, which included the Legislatures and the County Commission, to inform them of what they missed at the original meeting. During the meeting held on Tuesday, October 09, 2018, Howe, met with Sherriff Robert G. Matheny and Delegate Ben Queen and addressed the information from the original meeting. It is important that stakeholders be aware and informed of what was discussed during the initial meeting to continue to progress in their upcoming meeting.
The City appreciates Sheriff Matheny and Delegate Queen for their attendance and vested interest in the community.
